
YouTube with their first to market advantage in the user-centric ecology of online videos is sidelining this ideology in search of a better way to monetize video content. On April 16th, YouTube’s site redesign will forgo the current navigation scheme in favor of promoting premium content.
The navigation bar currently displays ‘Videos, Channels, Community.’ This will change to ‘Movies, Shows, Music, Videos.’ The first three categories will focus on premium content with Google’s content providers, pushing in-stream advertising. User-generated content will be condensed under ‘Video.’

We’ve just been informed that from a group of 200 submissions, we’ve been selected to present at the 2009 Next Web Conference in Amsterdam.
The Next Web 2009 is the fourth edition of the conference that began in 2006. 900+ Internet professionals gather for 3 days to enjoy Amsterdam, the conference and to do business.

While living in San Francisco, Wired Magazine was a pleasure to read. It still is. It’s the editorial bible for technology, ideas, and innovation. It remains one of the few magazines I enjoy purchasing, than reading online; although, while living in the United Kingdom an issue of Wired became expensive and always was a month behind in distribution.
So without further adieu, Quick.tv welcomes the arrival of Wired Magazine to the United Kingdom. Their premiere issue hits stands…

We’re testing out the iPhone 3.0 Beta at the Quick.tv studio. It’s quite impressive. The inclusion of cut and paste is fantastic. The simple slide and lift of a pressing finger opens up paste options. If you make a mistake, shake your iPhone to remove your paste. It’s a brilliant user experience, but long overdue.
